I admit, I have been a very lazy blogger but I haven’t been idle and created all kinds of things lately. It’s really time to share some of them with you.
My dear friend Marie had wished for a lace embellished thread catcher with a soldered rim, similar to the one I had blogged about HERE. The glass jar I used this time, has the same shape but is a bit larger than the other one. Instead of a little metal sign on the front, I went for one of my favorite vintage sewing graphics and printed it on fabric. The image was provided by Karen, The Graphics Fairy.
After I had rearranged some decorations in the studio, I thought it would be nice to have a banner hanging underneath the shelf and I made a spring bunting.
I used textured paper, that dear Lisa had sent me a while ago and sewed it onto cardboard. Then I cut out letters from a slightly coffee stained muslin and adhered them with fusible interfacing. To accent the letters, I sewed around each with a straight stitch.
You can now visit and/or follow me on Pinterest if you like. I’ve as well installed bloglovin’ on my sidebar. Please remember that Google Reader will retire July 1st and you’ll need another provider to follow blogs in a reader. There are several possibilities out there. bloglovin’ is just one but I found it very easy to install and to transfer my blogs from Google Reader.
Thank you very much for stopping by! Have a wonderful and sunny week!
I’ll be joining these parties:
Brag Monday at The Graphics Fairy
Knick of Time Tuesday at Knick of Time
Be Inspired Friday at Common Ground
Blissful Whites Wednesday at Timewashed
Hugs,
Julia
